How to tell when your coil needs changing

Coils do not live forever, and the most evident signs of a burnt coil are:

  1. You may notice that the taste of your vape is very mild or perhaps non-existent when compared to past times you've vaped.
  2. Your vape may not generate as much cloud/vapour, but this is also an indication of a low battery, therefore it may not be your coil (but it is still a sign of a burnt coil).
  3. When you vape, you may experience a burnt taste.
  4. Your device may begin to leak as a result of your coil becoming oversaturated, which means it is now flooded and cannot maintain the essential barrier to keep the liquid from leaking.
  5. In sub-ohm vapes, if you remove the coil and notice that the cotton within is pitch black, you should definitely replace it; new coils contain pure white cotton.

Ways to maximise your vaping experience (regular vaping)

  1. As needed, replace the coil.
  2. Always keep your tank full, preferably above the refill line.
  3. Make sure you're correctly storing your device, with nothing on top providing pressure to it; excessive pressure can damage your device and cause leaks.

Ways to maximise your vaping experience (sub-ohm vaping)

  1. Replace your coils as needed
  2. Make sure all air flow holes are completely open when vaping for maximum cloud production.
  3. Use a high or even maximum VG juice for the greatest flavour and thickest clouds.
  4. Always ensure that the wick (cotton) within your coil is completely wet.
  5. When using a fresh coil, always reduce the wattage for the first 10-20 pulls.

Battery life and charging

  1. To promote a long battery life, try to let the battery in your device totally drain before charging it. Through this process, batteries can be "taught" to work optimally.
  2. Do not charge your device for more than 4 hours; additionally, charging your device overnight is strongly discouraged in the vaping industry.
  3. It is recommended that you charge your devices' batteries using a laptop/PC, but if all of your laptop/USB PC's ports are in use, a portable charger will suffice. You should not charge your device with a wall plug since these plugs can transmit too much power through your battery, causing it to shut down briefly.
  4. When removing your tank, ensure that the connection points are clean and dry. A clogged connection point will hinder a correct connection between your tank and device, resulting in it not firing when you activate it.
  5. It is strongly encouraged that you turn off your device when charging it. This will prevent damage to your battery and circuitry throughout the charging process.
