How to vape properly

New vapers are frequently disappointed by their first vaping experience. People approach vaping in the same manner they approach traditional cigarettes since they are accustomed to smoking them. Vaping does require some skill and expertise, but it isn't rocket science! Here are some pointers to help you get started.

Choosing the right vape

The first thing you should learn if you're new to vaping is how to use your device. When you first start vaping, it's ideal to start with a simple device; these devices are designed with ease of use, cost, efficiency, and portability in mind. On the market, there are a plethora of well-made and fairly priced starting devices that will make getting started simple while also providing a satisfying vaping experience. You'll most likely want to go with a disposable or pod system, which are both excellent choices because they require little to no maintenance.

Choosing your e-liquid

It can take a long time and a lot of trial and error to find the correct e-liquid for you. After all, each individual is unique. There are settings for the VG/PG ratio, nicotine strength, and, of course, flavour. Stronger PG e-liquids, on the other hand, deliver a higher nicotine dose and a more intense flavour, and higher VG e-liquids are designed for consumers who enjoy massive clouds of vapour. Your vaping experience will vastly enhance once you've discovered the right flavour or flavours for you.

How To Use A Vape

When it comes to vaping, one of the most common mistakes ex-smokers make is taking too short drags (pulls). This procedure works fine with traditional cigarettes, but not with vaping since the e-liquid does not have enough time to pass through the coil and vaporise. We advocate taking longer and slower draws for a more enjoyable smoke (pulls).

There are two (2) methods to chose from when it comes to inhaling:

  1. Mouth to Lung (MTL) - This style of inhaling is more similar to that of smoking a cigarette. It is suitable for smaller devices with higher nicotine. You will draw vapour into your mouth, hold it there for a couple of seconds and then breathe it into your lungs. Then, once the vapour has entered your lungs you exhale. This style is perfect for people that are vaping to stop smoking.
  2. Direct to Lung (DTL) - This style gives a much smoother hit and is used with bigger more powerful vape kits. It is a much simpler style of inhaling as you inhale the vapour quickly and directly into your lungs and then exhale straight away.

Allowing a few minutes for your coil to cool down between vapes is also a good idea. Chain vaping (taking many takes in a short period of time) can shorten the coil's life and irritate the throat.
